It seems like we will never be truly free from the island's antics. Therefore, as I am sure Mary will agree, we should enjoy ourselves in spite of them.

Said event will take place under the moonlight. This island's beauty should not be missed by cramming everyone indoors, after all.

I will provide entertainment and refreshments, of course. All the attenders need to do is enjoy themselves.

[The boy smacks the side of the device lightly. His image becomes blurry before the screen goes black. Cain's frustrated sigh can be heard on other end.]

[There is a lengthy pause before anything is typed. But when the typing begins, everything comes impossibly fast. No, Cain has not turned into a speed-typer. His LP is malfunctioning.

His strikes are illegible.]

Perhaps someone could explain to me where those who disappeared went? I wasted enough time looking for them. I would like some answers.

[Cain sounds like he is out of breath. There is the sound of quick footsteps as he speaks.]

Mary, if you can read this, please answer me.

Part of me hopes that you went home, but the other part is selfish. I want you to stay to keep me company.

Then again, whatever caused you to leave: I will find it. Perhaps I can use it to transport myself back as well. I don't mind a little pain.

There seems to be a lot of new arrivals on this island. Welcome for the time being. The best thing I can say about this place is that there is, hopefully, a way to leave it.

Also, to aforementioned new arrivals (as well as those who have been here for some time), I have a few questions to ask you:

1.) When you arrived, were you on the beach?
2.) Would you be willing to give me a overview of your past?

Any information you could give me regarding these questions would be appreciated.

I apologize to anyone who smells a nasty stench on the air. The smell simply means that my poisons are doing their work. My home will be safe.

My mind is clouded with disturbing images. I cannot rest, I do not want to eat and each time the sun sets, I fear for the worst. Yet I must force myself to live. Without life, Father will be triumphant.

I cannot allow that.

It need not yield crops. My desire is grown. It does not need soil to thrive.
